Holiday " Krakow in Poland" - July 2013
This museum was in the same building as my hotel. But I couldn't stay there long, as I found it too upsetting.
Polish Grandmaster Lee...haha
Bizzarchetecture..
I got caught in a electrical storm, thunder, lightnening and torrential ran - I am a drowned rat.
This was SO SO good - I literally inhaled it. Vanilla creme custard with fresh fruit..
Also good coffee. I think the coffee here is excellent.
Holiday time - Berlin - June-July 2013 - >>>> PS. I LOVE BERLIN !!!!!!!!
1st day - breakfast & coffee !
CAKES !
LOTS & LOTS of street art, everywhere.
German dog - he looks angry, but he was actually friendly and happy.
This church acted as a marker for locating our hostel.
Bier in a favourite Vietnamese restaurant. We became regulars.
This bar was called "Sofia", after Sofia Loren - lots of pics of her all over the bar no less.
Post drinks at Sofia.... heehehhe aha...
ROTSF street graffiti
Ultra serious food consumption - "no you cannot have one of my chips".
Great second hand store. Mum you would have loved it.
Look what Jacob found - a computer game museum in Berlin ! Heaps of old arcade games, including Frogger ( a personal fave and Pong).
Heading out to goth club "K17" - other backpackers looked a little freaked out by our attire.
Oops (photos jumped) - this is more of computer game museum..
Flea Market on a Sunday..
More street art...
Dead Rat... :( boo hoo
Goofy laughter on bridge..
Jacob's twin.
Bar that served Absinthe. Decor was akin to something out of Garth Marenghi's Darkplace - for those who know what I mean.
"Skipper the Eye Child" - another Garth reference.
Angry looking Deutch cat. We got so excited , as nearly every Berliner seems to own a dog, however this was only the 2nd cat we saw in our entire week.
NICE ride.
Fountain in Alexander Platz.
Church in Alexander - Platz.
Street art in the suburb Freidrichsen (bahh spelling ??, too lazy to google).
Sudanese food in suburb Kreuzberg (where we stayed). The best meal. Marinated lamb, with small bits of zucchini and potato, a peanut flavoured hummus sauce and salad and bread.
Y U M !
2nd hostel I booked - Rainbow hostel. Heaps nicer staff than snooty "36 Rooms".
Free Pussy Riot art work.
Moi, walking at night in Kreuzberg.
Various pics around Kreuzberg - a great suburb.
